Robin attended Gordonstoun as a member of Gordonstoun House between 2003 and 2005. Following a move back to the UK, Robin joined the GA Committee in 2015 after enjoying his return to the Gordonstoun family at a number of GA events. Robin has served as the Secretary of the GA Committee since 2016, assisting on the modernisation of the GA constitution and now provides an international perspective to the steering of the GA since his move back to the Cayman Islands.

Andrew is our Head of Development. He is an OG, who, after teaching in Glasgow for a number of years, returned to Gordonstoun as Houseparent of his old house, Duffus. After nine years in the role, he moved into Development whilst maintaining his rugby and squash commitments. His father was an OG and he is proud of the association his family have with the school; his children being a third generation to attend Gordonstoun and with his wife, Cath, being Head of the Prep School.

Growing up in South Korea, Kat first attended the Gordonstoun International Summer School (GISS) in 1999 and 2001, following which she spent four years studying at the Senior School.

Completing the full circle of her time at Gordonstoun, Kat spent the summer after graduation working as a Staff Assistant at the GISS. Kat attended the University of Edinburgh completing an MA in Social Anthropology before pursuing a career in finance and banking.

Martine left Gordonstoun in 1988 and travelled the world, living in several countries (and continents) before settling down in Munich. She is a current parent as well as being on the GA Committee. Martine works at the headquarters of the European Southern Observatory, whose telescopes are in Chile, as an Administrative Assistant;  a calling she discovered when organising events and productions at school. She is very proud of her connection with the school and the fact that two generations of her family can call themselves OGs.

Serge is a Gordonstoun alumnus and has spent over a decade working at the intersection of international law, finance and technology as a lawyer and as an investment professional. He has worked at leading international law firms, global asset managers and at the United Nations.
 
Following his formative time at Gordonstoun, Serge worked and studied in the United States, the United Kingdom, Italy and France. Alongside studying law at Northwestern Pritzker School of Law, Southampton University, Université Paris-Saclay and Cardiff University, he studied financial accounting at Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management and completed an executive education programme at the University of Oxford's Saïd Business School.

Serge has published several books and articles and was recently a guest lecturer at Harvard University. He has also been a member of the Global Shapers Community, an initiative of the World Economic Forum.

Steve arrived at Gordonstoun in 1994 and he has acted variously as HP of Duffus House, Head of Business and Economics and First XV rugby coach.

In 2009 he took on the role of GA Coordinator acting as the link between the school and its alumni community This involves working closely with the GA Committee to support OGs and the school.

Since his ‘retirement’ from teaching in 2022 he has acted as GA Ambassador helping to put together a full programme of events and ensuring good communications with the broader Gordonstoun family.

Formerly a teacher specialising in Dyslexic support, Emma joined the GA Office in 2014 after moving back to her family home after twenty-five years.

Her role in the office is to support the GA Ambassador, Alumni Manager and GA Committee. This involves maintaining communications with the wider Gordonstoun community, organising events around the world and keeping OGs connected with one another.

Emma has a flair and passion for interior design and is known to make the best brownies in the world (probably).

Laura has worked in the charity sector for over ten years starting her career at CHAS in charity retail   whilst completing her master’s degree in history. After making the move to work full time in the charity sector, she has worked as a senior individual giving fundraiser for SCIAF and now is Development Manager at Gordonstoun focusing on regular giving income generation.

In 2024, Laura joined the Scottish Fundraising Conference committee as part of the marketing team. And has volunteered as a trustee for the Dollar Community Development Trust.

Sarah had worked in fundraising for over twelve years. After her masters degree, she started her career as a social history curator, working in a number of institutions where her roles increasingly involved fundraising and wider development work. In 2012 she moved to a dedicated development position at Cambridge University, working for Christ's College for nine years as Alumni Relations and Development Officer. 

Sarah has worked for Gordonstoun since 2021 and her role includes the running of the Regular Giving campaigns, such as the Telecampaigns and Giving Days.  

Joanne moved from Yorkshire to live at Gordonstoun in 1992.  She lived in Bruce House for seven years supporting her husband, Richard, who was Housemaster there.  She then worked as Curriculum Secretary and PA to five different Deputy Heads of Curriculum, over a 15 year period, based in the Gun Room.  Following two years as Headmaster’s PA, she then became Principal’s PA. 

She semi-retired in 2023 and now works part time in both the Development Office and the Archives.  She also works part time for the Scottish Council of Independent Schools (SCIS).  She has two children, both of whom are OGs.

During his 33 years at the school, Richard has done most jobs including Head of Department, Housemaster, Head of Sixth Form, Deputy Head and Head of Senior School.  He has also worked for many years in development, raising money for a variety of projects including the sports centre and new classrooms, and helping with admissions and alumni events around the world.  Now semi-retired, he combines admissions and development work for the school with gardening, sport and exercise and his days off, a balance that he really enjoys!
